    Heavy Truck Mechanic

    Location: Exeter, PA

    Starting Rate: $30 per hour

    Role Summary
    Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc. is currently looking to hire a Heavy Truck Mechanic for our Exeter, PA location! In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance service & repairs on our company fleet of delivery trucks at our in-house fleet maintenance center. Mechanics are required to diagnose reported concerns, complete required repairs, and document work completed on all units.

    About Our Fleet:

    Keystone Automotive operates an in-house over the road fleet of newer (2020+) Freightliner Cascadia tractors, Freightliner M2 straight trucks, and 53’ dry-van trailers. Our last-mile delivery fleet is made up of newer (2020+) Chevy Express vans, Ford E-series vans, and Isuzu NPRs. Our fleet is maintained using a telematics powered automated maintenance system. All trucks are kept in excellent condition.

     
    Key Responsibilities

    • Diagnose and identify vehicle malfunctions and determine corrective actions to be taken.
    • Recognize acceptable and defective parts and complete replacement and/or repair as needed.
    • Perform road tests to ensure complete repairs.
    • Conduct maintenance for assigned equipment as identified by PM schedules.
    • Ability to use computers and tablets, navigate web pages, and use electronic diagnostic tools.
    • Accurately record time, parts, and PM inspection check lists.
    • Abide by the Company policies such as attendance, safety, processes, teamwork, training, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
    • General automotive knowledge
    • Five+ years of related experience
    • Can lift and carry 50lbs

    Additional compensation considered for:

    • Class 4 or 7 Pennsylvania State inspection license
    • Class A or B CDL
