What you’ll tackle
- Operate a range of heavy plant—excavators, dozers, and backhoes—for excavation, grading, and site preparation.
- Perform daily inspections, routine service, and basic troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Champion safety by following all site rules and industry regulations without exception.
- Coordinate with supervisors and crew to hit schedule and budget targets.
- Document equipment utilization and maintenance; escalate issues to management quickly.
What you’ll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; industry certifications are advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy equipment on construction/industrial projects.
- Working knowledge of safe operating practices for heavy machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Effective communicator and dependable teammate.
- Physical capability to perform the demands of outdoor equipment operation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
