The Role
(Shift AM)
We are seeking a Hybrid Packer / Order Builder to join our warehouse operations team. This unique role provides employees with the opportunity to gain experience and exposure in both the Packing and Shipping/Order Building departments. The position is designed to support operational flexibility while developing cross-functional warehouse skills.
In this role, employees will spend 60% or more of their workday performing packing duties, ensuring products are accurately packed, labeled, inspected, and prepared according to quality standards. As business needs require, employees will also support the shipping department as an Order Builder, assembling customer orders, building pallets, and preparing products for distribution in a refrigerated warehouse environment. This hybrid position is ideal for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment, take pride in accuracy and quality, and are eager to learn multiple aspects of warehouse operations.

Perform other duties and special assignments as directed by the Lead or Supervisor.

Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the Department Manager or Supervisor.
Required Skills and Experience
Ability to work consistently in a refrigerated environment (35°F to 45°F).
Capacity to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
Ability to comprehend and follow detailed written and verbal instructions from supervisors and the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Proficiency in basic English communication, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality; consistent attendance is essential to operational success.
Strong commitment to observing and following all safety procedures and reporting potentially unsafe conditions.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
Willingness to take direction from management and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to comprehend and follow simple instructions.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, including reading scales and verifying product weights.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated oral instructions.
Must follow instructions, respond appropriately to management direction, and work cooperatively as part of a team.
Attendance is critical; employees must be dependable and report to work on time as scheduled.
Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards while working independently or as part of a team.
No prior work-related experience is required.
No minimum education requirement.
Ability to observe and follow proper safety procedures and a willingness to report potentially unsafe conditions or workplace hazards.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous warehouse, packing, order building, shipping, or food production experience is a plus, but not required.
Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts is preferred, but not required.
