Step into a day on the mill floor
Your shift begins with a safety huddle and lockout/tagout checks. You review preventive maintenance routes, then head to the mill to inspect drives, pumps, and hydraulic circuits. A gearbox vibration spikes—time to diagnose, decide repair vs. replace, and return the line to service. By midday, you’re lubricating key components, adjusting feed and speed parameters, and verifying power input/output. Before shift end, you finish a teardown and reassembly, file a hazard report, and coach a teammate on proper torque procedures. It’s fast, hands-on, and critical to keeping people safe and the mill productive.
Compensation that reflects your impact
First year earnings of $106,000/year to $116,000/year DOE which includes hourly pay, bi-weekly production bonus, shift premiums, and 354 hours of scheduled annual overtime.
