Job Title: Heavy Industrial - Fabrication Associate

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Fabrication Associate to join our client's team in the industrial sector. In this role, you will contribute to the efficient movement and assembly of pipe orders, ensure quality through precise measurements, and maintain machinery for optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.
- Assemble pipe orders and maintain organized work supplies.
- Follow safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe.
- Operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines and company procedures.
- Set up and maintain machines for pipe fabrication.
- Measure, record, and add random pipe lengths accurately.
- Measure and cut pipe using band saws or torches.
- Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines.
- Inspect and maintain forklift equipment.
Requirements
- 6-8 months recent machinery experience with band saws, automatic welding machines, and a mechanical background.
- Ability to use and understand tape measures and gauges for quality checks.
- 3–6 months forklift experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong math skills for calculating product quantities.
- Knowledge of safe work practices in the pipe yard.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication (6-8 months).
- Backgrounds in auto mechanics, machinery maintenance, automotive lines, diesel, or farm equipment are encouraged to apply.
