Picture your day starting in the yard, checking your rigging gear and loading counterweights. You roll out with a CDL-A tractor, deliver specialized equipment to a job site, and help assemble a crane. By mid-morning, you’re signaling a lift on an AC unit; in the afternoon, you’re controlling the load on a transformer swap-out. Some days you’re behind the wheel. Others, you’re hands-on with the rigging team. At Barnhart, every day brings a new lift to solve.
What You’ll Do
- Set up, rig, and support daily crane operations across a variety of sites
- Transport counterweights, components, and tools between the yard and project locations
- Assist with crane assembly and teardown
- Execute rigging, signaling, and load handling during critical lifts
- Work on projects involving HVAC units, transformers, and other industrial machinery
- Split time between professional driving and on-site rigging work
What You’ll Bring
- CDL Class A and a valid driver’s license
- Background in rigging or heavy equipment environments
- Experience hauling over-dimensional or heavy loads
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card
- Safety-first mindset and strong work ethic
- Willingness to work in the field and travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to crane support, gantries, or heavy-lift tools
- Familiarity with jack-and-slide or other specialized rigging systems
- Mechanical or machinery experience
