Job Overview
We're hiring a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain specialized aerial lift equipment. The role involves both shop and occasional field service work. The client is looking for candidates with strong troubleshooting experience in hydraulics, electrical systems, sensors, and electronic controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and electronic control systemsÂ
- Troubleshoot sensors, wiring, and CANBUS systemsÂ
- Perform preventative maintenance and annual inspectionsÂ
- Complete work orders and service documentation accuratelyÂ
- Support customers with technical issues in person and over the phoneÂ
- Move equipment within the facility or to customer sites when neededÂ
- Participate in occasional field service assignments after trainingÂ
Required Background
Strong experience from one or more of the following industries:
- Heavy EquipmentÂ
- Diesel RepairÂ
- Automotive RepairÂ
- Industrial MachineryÂ
- Aviation MaintenanceÂ
- Field Service RepairÂ
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalentÂ
- Valid driver’s license with strong driving recordÂ
- Ability to lift 70+ lbsÂ
- Comfortable with physical shop workÂ
- Comfortable using computers, tablets, and smartphone appsÂ
- Strong troubleshooting skillsÂ
- Willingness to learn and growÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- Hydraulic troubleshooting experienceÂ
- Electrical diagnostics / wiring experienceÂ
- CANBUS or electronic control systems knowledgeÂ
- OSHA 10 certificationÂ
- DOT medical cardÂ
- Forklift certificationÂ
- Military mechanical trainingÂ
- Technical school training (diesel, automotive, aviation, or heavy equipment)Â
Travel
