    Job Overview
    We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Equipment Technician will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using tools such as an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment.
    • Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems as needed.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts.
    • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to resolve issues efficiently.
    • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
    • Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades as required.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is preferred.
    • Proven experience as an Equipment Technician or similar role.
    • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, including an ohmmeter.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in equipment maintenance.
    • Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays.
    • Must have a clean driving record.
    • A Medical card is needed.
    • Must possess their own hand tools.
    • Preference for candidates residing within a 50-mile radius.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
    • Some proficiency with computer technology, such as CAT ET, is a plus.
    • A strong record of reliability and punctuality.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
    • Must successfully pass a drug test and background check.
    • Some welding ability is needed
