    HiFyve is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic in the construction equipment industry in Wilson, NC!


    Salary: Up to $40/hr

    Shift: Full-Time – 1st Shift, Monday–Friday

    Location: On-site – Wilson, NC


    Position Overview

    We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic with hands-on experience repairing and maintaining construction machinery, specifically Hitachi and Case equipment. This position is responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and component rebuilds in a fast-paced shop environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically driven, safety-focused, and thrives in a collaborative team setting.


    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems on Hitachi and Case equipment

    • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment rebuilds as needed

    • Utilize OEM diagnostic software and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair issues accurately

    • Complete all repair documentation, work orders, and service reports with attention to detail

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment that meets company and OSHA standards

    • Support other technicians and collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure timely repair turnaround

    • Participate in continuous improvement and training initiatives to stay current on equipment technology


    Experience Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role in the construction equipment industry

    • Strong working knowledge of Hitachi and Case equipment preferred

    • Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic results

    • Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems

    • Welding and fabrication experience a plus
