A leading waste and recycling operation is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to safely operate equipment used to move, load, sort, and manage materials within the facility. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
* Perform pre- and post-operation inspections
* Move, load, sort, and manage materials throughout the facility
* Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs
* Perform basic equipment care and minor maintenance
* Complete operational reports and inspections
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
* 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience
* Experience operating bulldozers and/or excavators required
* Experience with front-end loaders, forklifts, skid steers, backhoes, or similar equipment
* Ability to perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
* Strong safety awareness and reliability
* Mechanical troubleshooting ability is a plus
