Description
Contract Professionals is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for Self-Propelled Howitzer Modification Team, Temple Texas. Will include travel at 80% OCONUS and CONUS. Basic Mechanical skills are a must. Prior military MOS's preferred 91P 91H 91E 13F 63T 45T 63H 63D Individual must have experience and the ability to perform maintenance on associated tasks related to maintaining power plants, engine fuel systems, air induction systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, engine starting and charging systems, electrical and hydraulic systems. Requires the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues. Position requires the ability to install modifications and retrofits to platforms M109A7, M992A3 but not limited to other platforms or other maintenance/maintainer task.
Daily duties include o Operating combat vehicles o Reading and interpreting work instructions, engineering drawings, and safety instructions o Disassembling combat vehicles and vehicle sub-systems o Use tooling to provision for modification kits: cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping, welding, painting. o Assembling modification kits o Installing modification kits into combat vehicles o Applying software and firmware updates o Troubleshooting and repair vehicle faults o Maintaining accountability and serviceability assigned equipment. o Communicating and/or reporting of work completed, vocal and/or MS Office applications. o Interact with Soldiers Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. o Must be able to function with minimal supervision.
High School Education.

This assignment is a US Government Contract which requires all applicants to be US Citizens.
