    Responsibilities

    • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on company-owned and leased heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, including engines, transmissions, suspension, brake systems, and hydraulic components
    • Repair, replace, clean, and lubricate parts as needed to extend equipment lifespan
    • Travel to job sites as required to perform on-site repairs and maintenance
    • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently
    • Rebuild or replace engines, repair hydraulic fluid pumps, and address electrical problems as necessary
    • Work in a variety of environments, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures
    • Accurately complete repair orders and maintain electronic logs or log books

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
    • Experience with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and brake systems
    • Knowledge of heavy equipment parts, performance requirements, and hydraulic systems
    • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, welding, and flame cutting equipment
    • Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend service manuals
    • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team
    • Valid driver's license and safe driving habits
    • Knowledge of small engine equipment such as generators and compressors (preferred)
    • Advanced education or training in electronic computerized diagnostic systems and equipment (preferred)
