Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Shop Technician to join our team at our client, a locally based heavy equipment dealership group. As a Shop Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of heavy equipment used in agriculture, construction, and other industries. Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment, including hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and engines.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment remains operational and reliable.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify solutions in an efficient and timely manner.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to pinpoint equipment issues.
- Maintain detailed and accurate service records.
- Ensure work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to provide updates on equipment status.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on the latest technologies and repair methods.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
- Previous experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
