    A day in the life

You start your shift by reviewing work orders and engineering drawings, confirming safety checks, and planning your queue to align with production timelines. You prep surfaces by sanding, masking, and washing, then lay down primer, topcoat, and electrostatic finishes to exact specifications. Throughout the day you verify finish quality, document labor and production data electronically and by hand, and manage paint-related hazardous waste according to procedure. You spot potential defects early, communicate with the team, and take initiative to identify, document, and correct issues—balancing independent work with close collaboration.
