    Your impact

    • Diagnostics and repair
      • Diagnose and repair systems including steering, electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking, drivetrains, suspensions, clutches, transmissions, and oil/temperature/gas regulating components.
      • Adjust, test, and rebuild engines within scope of qualifications, meeting all applicable Federal, State/Provincial, and local requirements.
      • Test-drive vehicles during Preventive Maintenance to investigate driver-reported issues and again after service to confirm resolution.
      • Install, program, replace, and validate telematics units.
    • Operations and responsiveness
      • Carry out scheduled Preventive Maintenance across the facility’s fleet.
      • Handle unscheduled repairs with urgency and accuracy.
      • Respond to road calls and perform on-the-road repairs when assigned.
      • Capture labor time, parts, and work performed via work tablet and/or authorized forms.
    • Safety and standards
      • Maintain a safe, clean, efficient bay aligned with company housekeeping and all Federal, State/Provincial, and local requirements.
      • Complete tasks in strict accordance with DOT compliance.
      • Work assigned shift and support overtime when required.

    Minimum qualifications

    • 5 years of fleet experience with Diesel and Heavy/Medium-duty equipment.
    • At least 5 years of Auto/Truck or Bus mechanical repair experience.
    • Experience working to local DOT compliance for Medium/Heavy Trucks.
    • Computer proficiency for fleet management and documentation.
    • Recommended minimum hand tools for Medium/Heavy-Duty and Diesel work.
    • Deep experience with computerized diagnostics.
    • Proven judgment and decision-making.
    • Experience planning/scheduling repairs (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
    • Flexibility for varied schedules.

    Preferred

    • Valid CDL (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
    • ASE certifications in brakes, suspension, engine, electrical, A/C—or Master School Bus and/or Master Truck Technician.
