They are seeking a motivated Truck Sales Representative to join their growing team. Position Summary
The Truck Sales Representative is responsible for selling new and used heavy-duty trucks while developing long-term customer relationships and expanding market share. Success in this role requires strong prospecting skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed established new and used truck sales goals.
- Prospect for new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital outreach.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with commercial customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations and educate customers on truck features, specifications, and applications.
- Prepare accurate sales documentation, including purchase agreements and related paperwork.
- Deliver vehicles and explain warranty coverage, service programs, and dealership support.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and generate repeat and referral business.
- Evaluate trade-in equipment in collaboration with the service department.
- Maintain detailed sales activity and customer records using the company's CRM system.
- Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
- Partner with Parts and Service teams to provide complete customer solutions.
- Attend sales meetings, training programs, and customer events as needed.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of one year of automotive or commercial vehicle sales experience.
- Previous experience selling medium- or heavy-duty trucks is strongly preferred.
- Proven success with cold calling, prospecting, and business development.
Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of Class 8 truck components and commercial vehicle applications.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), or the ability to obtain one, is preferred.
- Professional, customer-focused attitude with a strong work ethic.
Work Environment
This position includes both inside and outside sales responsibilities and requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory. Candidates should be comfortable demonstrating trucks, visiting customer locations, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
