Picture your shift: you clock in to a clean, well-equipped shop, pull up work orders on a Windows laptop, and connect JPRO and OEM Diagnostic Software to a late‑model tractor. You isolate a stubborn electrical fault with a multimeter, replace the component, and verify the repair. Later, you knock out DOT inspections per FMCSA guidelines, then complete preventive maintenance on a set of trailers to keep our operation ahead of schedule. That’s a day in the life as a Heavy‑Duty Truck Diagnostic Specialist with NFI.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical issues on tractors and trailers using JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, multimeters, and Windows‑based tools
• Perform preventive maintenance services to maximize uptime
• Conduct DOT inspections in accordance with FMCSA requirements
• Work safely with the physical stamina to lift/pull 75+ lbs, stand or lie for extended periods, and reach equipment in tight spaces

What You’ll Bring

• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a Class B is preferred
• A technical/advanced degree or 2+ years of equivalent maintenance experience
• Hands‑on diagnostic know‑how and clear problem‑solving skills
• Team mindset and strong communication with a customer‑service focus
• Willingness to complete an on‑site evaluation with recommended training
