What You’ll Handle
- Thoroughly inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-trailer systems—brakes, suspensions, and electrical circuits included.
- Complete scheduled maintenance and preventative checks to keep equipment performing at its best.
- Use diagnostic equipment to pinpoint issues and recommend the most effective repair path.
- Work closely with teammates to move jobs efficiently without sacrificing quality.
- Document all maintenance and repair actions with accuracy and clarity.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies in every task.
- Keep current on industry best practices, emerging tools, and new repair techniques.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in automotive or diesel mechanics is a plus.
- Hands-on mechanic experience, ideally with semi-trailers or other heavy-duty vehicles.
- Strong command of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Confidence reading and interpreting technical manuals and wiring/schematic diagrams.
- Sharp diagnostic instincts, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced shop environment.
