    Sisson Contracting, Inc. is looking to hire a Shop Mechanic.

    Shop Mechanic - Full Time
    Monday - Friday

    Requirements:
    • Must have knowledge and experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, heavy equipment, welding & fabrication
    • CDL – preferred but not required
    • Must be a self-starter
    • Must be able to multitask
    • Ability to work under limited supervision
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner
    • The desired employee will take pride and ownership of what needs to be done, their work, and keeping the shop clean and organized as if it were their own

    Duties: 
    • Perform repairs and assign preventative maintenance services. Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on fleet trucks, company trucks, and all equipment.
    • Ability to keep an up-to-date log book and track all maintenance dates, due dates, and services.  
    • Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment.
    • Raise trucks and heavy parts, or equipment, using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
    • Recondition and replace parts, pistons, bearings, gears, and valves.
    • Troubleshoot operational issues and determine a plan of action to remedy them.
    • Install equipment and related components to meet specifications.
    • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
    • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
