You’ll be the go-to expert for utility equipment—from boom trucks and cranes to bucket and dump trucks and digger derricks—spanning brands like Load King, TEREX, Manitowoc, Elliott, and National Cranes.
Your mission
Deliver top-tier field service that blends diagnostics, precision repair, and safety compliance. You’ll turn complex faults into solved problems and return equipment to service with confidence.
Key outcomes
- Pinpoint and remedy faults in hydraulic fluid power and pneumatic systems.
- Interpret and apply electrical/hydraulic schematics and blueprints; perform welding as needed.
- Leverage Quick Serve, DTNA, and related tools to diagnose efficiently.
- Complete DOT, ANSI, and dielectric testing to uphold standards.
- Repair/replace worn components; conduct thorough machine inspections and order parts promptly.
- Fit bearings; overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Use pressure gauges, flow test equipment, and calibration devices to validate performance.
- Rebuild gearboxes, outriggers, and boom lift cylinders.
- Dismantle/reassemble heavy equipment correctly; road-test and function-test after repairs.
- Execute routine maintenance programs for vehicles and equipment.
- Document labor, parts, and services with accuracy; submit repair orders for approval.
- Champion a safe workplace and attend monthly safety meetings.
What you need to succeed
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 years’ experience as a shop and field technician.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL Class B preferred).
- Personal mechanics toolset.
- Confidence in software-based documentation and schedule management.
