We're looking for a skilled B Level Diesel Fleet Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years of diesel repair experience to join our growing maintenance team in Urbana, IL. If you enjoy diagnosing problems, performing quality repairs, and working on a variety of fleet vehicles in a well-equipped shop, we'd like to hear from you.
This is a full-time, in-shop position offering competitive pay, steady work, and opportunities to continue growing your technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel-powered fleet vehicles
- Perform OEM diagnostics using manufacturer-specific diagnostic software
- Troubleshoot engine, electrical, and mechanical issues
- Repair and replace radiators, injectors, cooling system components, and related parts
- Complete mid-level engine and drivetrain repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Accurately document repairs and recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work efficiently while meeting quality and safety standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience
- B Level technician with strong diagnostic abilities
- Experience using OEM diagnostic software and scan tools
- Knowledge of diesel engines, cooling systems, fuel systems, and electrical diagnostics
- Ability to diagnose and repair radiators, injectors, and other mid-level mechanical issues
- Valid driver's license
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation & Benefits
- $28.00 – $31.00 per hour
