Summary:
Performs professional repair work involving considerable independence and judgment on composite aerostructures.
Performs heavy composite repair on aircraft components including fuselages, pylons, nacelles, and wing components.
Interprets engineering drawings and process specifications to determine repair requirements.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses composite and structural issues to determine appropriate repair methods.
Performs repair and rework of composite structures using composite materials and fabrication techniques.
Operates autoclave and repair equipment for composite curing and bonding operations.
Performs vacuum bagging and debulking procedures for composite repairs.
Uses precision measuring instruments to verify repair dimensions and tolerances.
Documents repair procedures, inspection results, and compliance with quality standards.
Applies knowledge of composite materials and fabrication methods for structural repairs.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Heavy composite repair experience required (not just composite layup).
Experience with Boeing 787 Dreamliner preferred.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and process specifications for composite repairs.
Experience with vacuum bagging and debulking techniques for composite repairs.
Experience with composite material handling and fabrication processes.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments for repair verification.
Experience with autoclave and repair equipment for composite curing.
Ability to document repair procedures and inspection results per quality standards.
Ability to perform professional repair work with considerable independence and judgment.
