Heavy Civil Estimator + South Florida

HEAVY CIVIL ESTIMATOR - South Florida - 3-7 years of experience

A well-established, family-owned Heavy Civil / Sitework Contractor is looking for an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to join its growing team.

The company specializes in earthwork, underground utilities, paving and land development, including large residential developments, subdivisions and roadway projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and competitive bids for Heavy Civil/Sitework projects
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform takeoffs for earthwork, grading, utilities, drainage, paving, and site development
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Utilize HCSS HeavyBid, Agtek, Trimble Business Center (TBC), or similar software
• Assist with procurement, negotiations, and project budgeting
• Manage multiple estimates and deadlines independently

Qualifications

• 3–10+ years of Heavy Civil estimating experience
• Experience with earthwork, underground utilities, grading, drainage, paving, or site development
• HeavyBid, Agtek, TBC, or similar estimating software experience
• Strong plan/specification reading and takeoff skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
