Heavy Civil Assistant Quality Control Manager

 

Our client, an established heavy civil contractor, is hiring an Assistant Quality Control Manager for a project in the Yuma, AZ area. You'll work alongside the QC Manager to keep the work on spec and well documented. The project spans many linear miles of southwest Arizona.

 

What you'll do:

- Support the QC Manager in running the project quality program

- Review design and construction documents, drawings, specs and shop drawings against contract tolerances

- Carry out QA/QC through submittals, RFIs, inspections and field testing

- Oversee subcontractor quality compliance

- Maintain quality records and daily construction reports

- Support the site safety program

 

What we're looking for:

- 5+ years in construction quality control, including 2 to 3 years on heavy civil work

- Hands-on soil and concrete testing experience

- Working knowledge of construction codes and standards

- Strong Excel and computer skills

- Bachelor's degree preferred

- Willing to travel to project sites and offices as needed

 

Compensation:

- Competitive salary of $110,000 to $125,000, depending on experience
