Heating & Cooling Field Diagnostics Technician

If so, Express Employment Professionals wants you on our growing team to service residential HVAC systems, with occasional light commercial support.

What you’ll do

• Lead residential service, repair, maintenance, and installation tasks
• Pinpoint and fix issues in heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment
• Install and commission furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and mini-splits
• Perform seasonal maintenance and tune-ups
• Handle emergency calls to rapidly restore system functionality
• Support light commercial service and installs when required
• Inspect systems and propose repair or replacement solutions
• Follow safety protocols, building codes, and company procedures
• Document work thoroughly—service reports, work orders, and job notes
• Keep tools, test instruments, and your vehicle clean and organized

What you need to succeed

• Hands-on HVAC service, installation, and repair experience (residential required)
• Commercial exposure is a plus, not required
• EPA Certification preferred
• Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting capabilities
• Able to read manuals, wiring schematics, and blueprints
• Valid driver’s license; clean driving record
• Independent, efficient time manager
• Clear, courteous communicator with customers
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs; comfortable indoors/outdoors
• Willing to take after-hours calls when scheduled on-call (One weekend monthly)

Pay, type, schedule

• Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
• Pay: $25.00 - $45.00/hour, based on experience and certifications
• Hours: Monday – Friday - 7AM to 4PM; remain on duty until all scheduled calls are completed
