We are currently seeking dependable candidates for an entry-level Heat Treater Assistant position in a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn industrial heat-treating processes and grow within manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and organize work orders and production instructions
- Verify materials, quantities, and customer specifications before processing
- Load and unload metal parts into furnaces, racks, baskets, and quench tanks
- Assist operators with hardening, tempering, annealing, and other heat-treating processes
- Monitor furnace temperatures, cycle times, and cooling procedures
- Maintain accurate production and processing records
- Inspect parts for visible defects or inconsistencies
- Use measuring and testing equipment as trained
- Move materials using carts, pallet jacks, hoists, or forklifts (when certified)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety, PPE, and quality procedures
- Assist with basic equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience helpful, but not required
- Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic mechanical aptitude preferred
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
