A local manufacturing company in High Point is looking for an Entry-Level Heat Treater Assistant to join their team!
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning metal processing, industrial equipment, and manufacturing operations. Hands-on training will be provided.
? JOB DUTIES:
- Review work orders and production instructions
- Verify materials, quantities, and specifications
- Load and unload metal parts into furnaces, racks, baskets, and quench tanks
- Assist Heat Treat Operators with various heat-treating processes
- Monitor furnace temperatures and processing times
- Inspect parts for visible defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain production and processing records
- Use measuring and testing equipment as trained
- Move materials using carts, pallet jacks, hoists, or forklifts when certified
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Follow all safety, PPE, and quality requirements
- Assist with basic equipment cleaning and maintenance
? REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience is helpful, but not required
- Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
