- Required Education:
- Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound training program.
- Maintain continuing education requirements as set forth by ARDMS, CCI, ICAVL and ICAE.
- Required Certifications & Licensure:
- ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS).
- BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
- Heart & Vascular Sonographer
- Shift: Echo only 5 days/wk, Mon-Fri; 315p-945p
- Patient demographic: primarily outpatients Sonographers must also be able to: **Start their own IV’s **Push UEA ( Ultrasound Image Enhancers), such as Definity and bubble studies
- Skills & Experience:
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written / verbal).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with hospital management, physicians and technologists.
- Current knowledge of technology and clinical advances related to cardia and/or vascular sonography.
- Working knowledge of accreditation, credentialing, and quality assurance procedures.
- Basic understanding of imager configuration, DICOM standards, networking and medical records.
