At the YMCA of Greater Kansas City, healthy living isn't just a department - it's how we help people thrive. We're looking for a mission-driven, relationship-centered Healthy Living Director to lead wellness programming at Platte Co. Community Center North, building programs and a team that help members of every age and ability get healthier, stay connected and feel their best.
Located just 15-20 minutes from downtown Kansas City and 5 minutes from KCI, Platte City offers small-town charm and a close-knit community feel, with acres of parks and greenways, top-rated schools, and easy access to everything the metro has to offer.
As Healthy Living Director, you'll plan, budget for and grow a full slate of wellness programs while building genuine relationships with members and associates. At the Y, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference every day - helping people of all ages and backgrounds lead healthier, more connected lives.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent education and experience in health and wellness
Minimum 2 years' experience in this or a related field, including 2+ years supervising a team
Current CPR (child and adult), AED, Oxygen, and First Aid
A national Group Exercise certification and/or Personal Training certification accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies
A friendly, consistent way of relating to people at every level, with a positive attitude
Must be able to manage and monitor department budget.
Ability to make independent and sound decisions in a fast paced environment.
Articulate with high skills in written communication.
