General Information:

Healthy Families is hiring for a full-time supervisor. Healthy Families provides consistent and ongoing support so that parents and other caretakers can give children a safe, healthy start in life. Healthy Families is one of many programs and clinics within the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services (IIHHS). IIHHS is a forward-thinking and dynamic organization that strives to cultivate a shared sense of purpose in building healthier and safer communities where all individuals can thrive and flourish. This position will work primarily out of Woodstock, VA in Shenandoah County.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Office Administration:

• Maintain routine presence in the Woodstock office, this position will primarily be based out of this office.
• Ensure timely management of office communications and administrative functions to support program operations, including communication with the Program Manager about day-to-day operations, and relaying important notices and updates to staff working in that office.
• Communicate with Program Manager on office supply needs.

Staff Oversight:

• Conduct and document supervision for all Healthy Families Shenandoah County (HFSC) staff in accordance with Healthy Families America requirements, including weekly, biweekly, or monthly supervision based on staff role and employment status.
• Plan, monitor, and oversee family referrals (10-15/month) and staff caseloads (in alignment with the HFA case load policy) to ensure timely contact, accurate documentation, and access to services.
• Review and approve staff home visit documentation, assessments, and case records within established program timelines to ensure quality and compliance.
• Provide guidance, field observations, and oversight for staff and interns, including resource coordination and adherence to program expectations.

Model Fidelity:

• Ensure HFSC follows the Healthy Families America Best Practice Standards (BPS)
• Ensure HFSC follows the HFSC Policies & Procedures
• Provide staff reminders for required outcomes and screens and track completion
• Ensure staff documentation reflects high-quality case management practices and adherence to program standards for family goals and service planning.

Community Partnerships and Grant Reporting:

• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, such as WIC, Sentara, and CPS, to strengthen referral networks and improve access to services for families.
• Represent the program alongside staff at community meetings, coalitions, and outreach events to increase awareness and foster partnerships.
• Coordinate with partner agencies, such as WIC, Sentara and CPS, to facilitate service referrals, resource sharing, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Assist Program Manager with data collection, ensuring accuracy of case files by home visitors, and inputting service numbers, in the preparation and submission of accurate, timely grant reports and other required documentation to ensure compliance with funding requirements for the Virginia Department of Social Services and the Virginia Department of Health, and support continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory, leadership, or team coordination experience would be beneficial, with demonstrated ability to support staff development and performance management.
• Knowledge of family-centered practices, trauma-informed care, child development, community resources, and evidence-based home visiting models; Healthy Families America experience would be beneficial.
• Experience with data management, documentation review, performance monitoring, and grant or contract reporting, with strong attention to detail and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish effective partnerships with community agencies, stakeholders, and families.

Additional Considerations:

• Significant professional experience working with children and families in home visiting, child welfare, early childhood, family support, or a related human services setting.
