HEALTHTECH APPALACHIA PROGRAM ANALYST

WV JOB INVESTMENT TRUST-KANAWHA CO.

SALARY: $50,000 a year

Seeking a driven, detail-oriented individual to support the development and implementation of HealthTech Appalachia for the West Virginia Jobs Investment Trust. HealthTech Appalachia (HTA) is an initiative of the Rural Health Transformation Program that will provide funds to identify, accelerate, and commercialize early health technologies in West Virginia. The ideal candidate has education and/or experience in finance or venture capital.

This is a full-time grant-funded position. Continued employment beyond the initial 12-month period is subject to the availability of federal grant funds and operational requirements. While funding for Years 2-5 is anticipated, continuation cannot be guaranteed.

Responsibilities are expected as follows:

• Support the HealthTech Appalachia Program Coordinator in managing HTA.
• Perform due diligence on HTA investment opportunities, including reviews of the following areas:

Financial spreadsheets.

Intellectual property and/or patents.

Market, commercialization, and scalability.

Risk analysis.

Valuation.

Operational diligence.

Assist with reporting, data collection, and tracking.

Assist with application review for program compliance, eligibility, and alignment with program goals.

Assist with compiling materials for investment presentations to the HTA Advisory Panel.

• Other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field.
• Technical skills such as financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, market analysis.
• Familiarity with venture capital deal structures and investment terms.
• Ability to review and interpret key legal documents.
• Familiarity with healthcare economics, markets, and commercialization.
