    Job Description

    ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Trainer & Account Support Specialist, you will be the on-the-ground expert ensuring every hospital that partners with Surfacide gets maximum value from their Helios+ UV-C system. Your primary focus is training — educating clinical and environmental services staff, embedding best practices into daily workflows, and ensuring consistent, confident use of our technology across every department you serve.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated, people-oriented professional who enjoys being in healthcare environments, loves teaching, and wants a role where they can see the direct impact of their work on patient safety.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    Training & Education

    • Deliver role-specific, hands-on training to clinical staff, EVS teams, and department leads across assigned hospital accounts
    • Develop a deep command of Surfacide’s training curriculum, best practices, and system operation protocols
    • Conduct ongoing refresher training as staff turns over or as new departments onboard the Helios+ system
    • Serve as the go-to resource for staff questions, troubleshooting, and day-to-day system guidance
    • Track training completion and document staff certifications within each account

    Implementation Support

    • Support onboarding and go-live of the Helios+ UV-C system, helping hospitals integrate the technology into existing clinical workflows
    • Facilitate workgroup meetings during and after implementation to keep onboarding on schedule and address any workflow challenges
    • Conduct walkthroughs and workflow assessments to identify the best deployment approach for each department or care setting

    Client Support & Communication

    • Serve as a consistent, trusted point of contact for day-to-day client needs following implementation
    • Keep clients informed about product updates, software enhancements, and new training resources
    • Keep accurate, up-to-date records in CRM — including training logs, contacts, and key communications
    • Participate in periodic check-ins with hospital contacts to ensure ongoing satisfaction and system utilization

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    • A natural teacher and communicator — you enjoy explaining concepts clearly and making people feel comfortable learning something new
    • Comfortable in hospital and clinical settings — you can navigate a busy healthcare environment with professionalism and confidence
    • Highly organized — you manage your time well, follow through on commitments, and keep detailed records
    • Self-motivated and dependable — you take ownership of your accounts and don’t need to be micromanaged
    • Adaptable — no two hospitals are the same; you can read a room and adjust your approach based on your audience
    • Background or coursework in healthcare, public health, life sciences, education, or a related field is a plus — but not required
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Business travel required (75%)
    • Vendor credentialing and compliance with hospital vaccination requirements will be required
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently, with or without reasonable accommodation.
