Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site construction operations for healthcare and hospital renovation projects
  • Manage daily activities of subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Coordinate construction activities in occupied healthcare environments while minimizing disruptions
  • Drive project schedules and proactively resolve field challenges
  • Conduct regular site meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders
  • Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications and healthcare regulations
  • Mentor and develop field staff while promoting a positive jobsite culture

The Successful Applicant

A successful Healthcare Superintendent should have:

  • 10-15+ years of construction experience with progressive field leadership responsibilities
  • Extensive healthcare construction experience, including hospital renovations
  • Proven experience leading large-scale construction projects valued at $25M+
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, safety, quality control, and project execution
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Maine as project assignments require
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working for a general contractor or construction management firm preferred
