Healthcare Lead Technician

Position Summary The Healthcare Lead Technician is responsible for the onsite installation of nurse call, security and fire life safety systems within Healthcare facilities. You will actively lead a crew in the overall installation of projects as directed by Healthcare leadership and management. The Healthcare Lead Technician is a vital component to the project performing the installation of devices, running wiring, and performing basic construction needs to ensure the successful completion of client projects. You will display an understanding of and can enforce electrical regulations, construction requirements, as well as industry standards for the project. Responsibilities are not limited to but will include wire pulling, project prep and clean up, troubleshooting, project documentation, customer communications, and training of technicians. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Ensures that regular and consistent communication takes place with both internal and external customers; acknowledges and addresses requests received via phone, email or company systems daily. Manages own time and resources to achieve identified objectives. Is diligent in meeting all communicated/defined deadlines. Is the primary contact for the customer while on site; communicates daily with the Foreman and/or Project Manager regarding job status. Contributes to the maintenance and accuracy of all project documentation, writes detailed daily summaries of work performed/completed in applicable project ticket fields and keeps ticket statuses accurate based on work status of the project. Responsible for providing all final project documents (as directed) timely for project close outs. Provides advance system programming and troubleshooting, making timely corrective actions to keep project moving forward. Leads the crew onsite to ensure the successful installation of project components. Interprets drawings and identifies best methods for project installation. Responsible for ensuring all project materials and equipment are prepped and read to be used during the project installation. Adheres to all workplace safety expectations, regulations, standards and practices. Enters accurate time daily to project ticket assigned; providing a real time budget visual to company management. Adheres to all TRL Fleet policies and procedures; maintains both the appearance of their assigned vehicle and its inventory. Follows all inventory management procedures. Provides system troubleshooting and makes timely corrective actions to keep project moving forward. Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings and seminars as assigned for the purpose of performing job duties. Any additional duties as assigned. Intermediate technical knowledge of construction/low voltage/fire life safety equipment and processes. Manufacture knowledge and certified on fire life safety systems used/installed in Hospitals. Able to troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties Other Requirements Valid California driver license Proof of valid car insurance Proof of immunizations and TB testing. Manufacturer & continuing education training Must be able to work nights, weekends, and travel out of area, as needed Punctuality and regular attendance (required). Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily. Ability to drive, walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations. Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, high rise buildings, and/or hospitals with patient contact.
