    Healthcare IT Project Manager

    Summary

    Responsible for leading and solving complex, interdependent activities into tasks and sub-tasks that are documented, monitored, and controlled using technology project management processes and methodologies to deliver capabilities that meet the stakeholder needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver high-priority healthcare IT projects that directly impact patient care and operational efficiency.
    • Provide structure, oversight, and clear direction to ensure successful execution, while driving accountability and measurable results.
    • Lead strategic efforts to define the scope of the project as it relates to the overall business objectives and communicate the status of the project effectively to the respective stakeholders.
    • Foresee and eliminate possible risks and ensure the success of a project (resources/scope/cost/quality/time) for small/medium/large projects.
    • Execute full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation, and satisfactory completion of the technology projects.
    • Provide effective leadership to the technology project team and adopt appropriate technology project management methods and tools.

    Requirements

    • 8+ years of IT Project Management experience.
    • 5+ years of Healthcare industry Project Management experience.
    • Proven track record of success in managing projects involving clinical systems, revenue cycle, or infrastructure
    • Skill in developing project plans, tracking milestones, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential; ability to collaborate across clinical, technical, and leadership teams to remove barriers and achieve outcomes.
    • Experience in integration including working with third-party vendors and clinical systems.
    • Experience with budget management, scope-of-work management, and project estimation.

    Preferred

    • PMP Certification.
    • Familiarity with Epic system initiatives.

    This is a 12-month Contract opportunity with our Kansas City, MO client.
