Do you want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families while helping them access the healthcare and support they need?Qualified Staffing is seeking a Healthcare Eligibility Specialist for our client in Macon, Ga. Assignment Term: 6 MonthsLocation: North Macon, GA- Onsite Hours: 40 hours per week, M-F, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Full-timePay rate: $15.00 p/hNumber of Vacancies: 2 Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct client interviews and verify eligibility information.
  • Review applications and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Determine eligibility for program services.
  • Verify financial, personal, and insurance information.
  • Assist clients with applications, renewals, and recertifications.
  • Process ADAP and HICP applications.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records.
  • Manage assigned caseloads and track renewals and follow-up needs.
  • Follow up with clients regarding documentation, applications, and eligibility changes.
  • Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements and organizational policies.
  • Coordinate client services with case managers, clinical staff, and community partners.
  • Explain program requirements, services, and application processes to clients.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and privacy.
  • Participate in meetings, training, and quality improvement activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
 Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong background in eligibility verification, income documentation review, or public benefits processing (e.g., Medicaid, SSI, housing programs)
  • Familiarity with relevant databases 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work professionally and compassionately with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to interpret and consistently apply policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements.
  • Proficiency with computers, electronic records, Microsoft Office, and data-entry systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
