Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our healthcare organization as a Permanent Healthcare Director of Quality & Risk Management. This individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of care and patient safety, ensuring our organization's compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards, and driving continuous quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and oversight of all quality and risk management activities across the organization, including but not limited to, performance improvement, patient safety, accreditation readiness, hospital survey preparation, quality assurance, incident investigation, policy development, clinical risk management, process improvement, patient experience, utilization review, data analysis, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive quality and risk management programs aligned with our organization's strategic objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies, accreditation standards, and healthcare laws.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, care quality, and patient experience.
• Prepare the organization for hospital surveys and accreditation visits, ensuring readiness at all times.
• Conduct root cause analyses following adverse events or near misses, and develop and implement corrective action plans.
• Oversee incident investigations and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
• Develop, review, and update policies and procedures to ensure they reflect best practices and meet regulatory requirements.
• Manage clinical risk, identifying potential areas of risk and implementing strategies to mitigate these.
• Drive process improvement initiatives across the organization to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee utilization review activities to ensure optimal use of resources.
• Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and the effectiveness of quality and risk management initiatives.
• Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and risk management across the organization.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality and risk management within the healthcare sector.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, performance improvement, patient safety, accreditation readiness, hospital survey preparation, quality assurance, root cause analysis, corrective action planning, incident investigation, policy development, clinical risk management, process improvement, patient experience, utilization review, data analysis, and quality improvement.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire a team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certified in Healthcare Risk Management (CHRM) is preferred.
