We are looking for a Business Process Outsourcing-Healthcare Advisory Manager to join our Advisory Department. As a Healthcare Advisory Manager, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the review and supervision of Medicare and Medicaid cost report engagements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements
- Provide Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement, operational and strategic consulting services to client leadership
- Maintain strong communications between internal engagement leaders and client staff and leadership
- Monitor our team's usage of our internal procedures, processes, and controls
- Manage both onshore and offshore staff on an ongoing basis as they perform reimbursement and cost reporting services, technical accounting activities, and synthesize data into reports or analysis for the clients
- Advise and assist with technical accounting, cost reporting and reimbursement decisions
- Develop models and analysis for client requests
- Encourage ongoing improvement of internal operations, taking input from key business stakeholders (or senior staff) and assisting in the development of internal templates to drive process, technology, and structural improvements
- Assist in business development pursuits to support the growth of our healthcare advisory practice
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and is highly effective in developing trusted relationships in person, over the phone, and through written communications
- Proven experience in preparing, reviewing and supervising Medicaid and Medicare cost report engagements for skilled nursing facilities and/or intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/IID). Experience with home health, hospice and home office is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement, cost reporting theory and healthcare advisory consulting services
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
- Proficient in Excel, with experience with software systems including Caseware and Health Financial Systems (or similar Medicare cost report software) preferred
- Well-organized with ability to prioritize
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a relevant field is preferred
- Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
