Overlake Medical Center & Clinic's Parent & Baby Care Center is seeking a per diem Health Unit Coordinator.

The Health Unit Coordinator in the Parent & Baby Care Center is responsible for the set-up and functioning of the Breast Pump Rental Station. This includes providing information to patients, record management, charging for equipment, and retail selling of breast pumping accessories, nursing bras and other retail items. Coordinates the Newborn Hearing Screen Program in the Parent & Baby Care Center outpatient setting to include testing, documentation, follow-up with parents and sending records to the state. Executes multiple tasks with minimal instruction in the support of the clinic. Ability to use office equipment including cash register and Newborn Hearing Screeners.

8-hour shifts

Days

Responsibilities may include:

  • Set-up and functioning of the Breast Pump Rental Station

  • Provides support for retail shop i.e. selling of products, stocking, ordering of supplies and utilizing cash register.

  • Performs individualized bra fittings.

  • Daily reconciliation of boutique sales

  • Schedule patient appointments both in the Parent & Baby Care Center and the Post-Partum Unit.

  • Perform Newborn Hearing Screening Tests, complete documentation, and provide information to parents regarding the results.

  • Restock display cabinets on Childbirth Center.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Professional Licensure/Certification/Registration: Lactation Educator certification preferred.

  • Experience: Two years prior experience in a health care setting preferred.
