Duties
Duties includes but are not limited to the following:
- Initiates cardiac monitoring correctly, and is able to admit/discharge patients from monitoring system and print rhythm strips.
- Performs venipuncture to obtain serum blood samples as ordered according to VHA, Medical Center, ED, and Laboratory policy and procedures.
- Performs urine dipstick testing and properly reports the results to the physician and/or the RN and documents appropriately.
- Facilitates maintaining charts and patient tracking information board.
- Provides patient care tasks as delegated
- Orders, maintains, and stocks supplies for the unit.
- Attends and participates in in-services/training opportunities in order to plan quality patient care.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 07:30pm - 8:00am
