Overview:

The Epic Healthy Planet Systems Analyst serves as the primary Epic subject matter expert supporting Beebe Healthcare's Population Health, Value-Based Care, Quality, Care Management, and Community Health initiatives. This position is responsible for the design, build, implementation, optimization, maintenance, and ongoing support of Epic Healthy Planet, Compass Rose, Value-Based Analytics (VBA), registries, care gap workflows, risk stratification tools, payer attribution, population health dashboards, and related analytics capabilities.

The analyst acts as a strategic liaison between Population Health Operations and Information Systems, translating clinical, operational, regulatory, and value-based care requirements into scalable Epic solutions and build. The position operates within a matrix structure, reporting operationally to Health Systems Design/Population Health while maintaining technical governance, Epic standards, and application oversight through Epic Information Systems leadership. This role is expected to bridge technical expertise with population health principles and support Beebe's transition to value-based care.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, optimization, and support of Epic Healthy Planet, Compass Rose, and Value-Based Analytics applications.
  • Collaborate with Population Health, Care Management, Quality, Primary Care, Medical Group, and operational leaders to identify and implement Epic solutions that improve health outcomes and support value-based care initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain patient registries, care gap workflows, risk stratification models, payer attribution processes, and population health dashboards.
  • Support performance measurement initiatives related to value-based contracts, quality measures, MSSP, ACO programs, HEDIS, MIPS, Star Ratings, and other population health programs.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate operational needs into Epic design specifications, workflows, build, testing, training, and deployment plans.
  • Participate in Epic upgrades, optimization efforts, governance activities, and project implementations.
  • Partner with Epic analysts, reporting teams, data warehouse teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure data integrity and measure accuracy.
  • Support Compass Rose care management workflows, transitions of care programs, outreach initiatives, and care coordination activities.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that provide actionable intelligence for clinical and operational leaders.
  • Facilitate end-user training, workflow assessments, and adoption of Healthy Planet functionality.
  • Maintain Epic certification requirements and remain current with evolving population health and value-based care methodologies.
Qualifications:
  • Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Health Informatics, Information Systems, Nursing, Data Analytics, Epidemiology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum two (2) years of healthcare information systems, Epic, population health, analytics, care management, or value-based care experience.
    • Epic Healthy Planet certification or ability to achieve certification within designated timeframe.
    • Experience supporting clinical workflow design, reporting, analytics, or operational improvement initiatives.
    • Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH), Epidemiology, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Data Science, or related discipline or certificate in Population Health, Epidemiology, Quality Improvement, Value-Based Care, or Healthcare Analytics certificate.
    • Epic Healthy Planet Certified.
    • Experience with Value-Based Analytics (VBA), payer attribution, population health registries, care management workflows, HEDIS, NCQA, MIPS, MSSP, ACO REACH, or related value-based programs.
    • Experience collaborating with operational leaders, clinicians, quality teams, and data analytics teams to drive population health outcomes.
