We are seeking a Health Policy Implementation Analyst I to support policy implementation, operational analysis, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement activities for large-scale federal health programs. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is eager to develop expertise in healthcare policy, program operations, and consulting while working alongside experienced consultants and subject matter experts.

The successful candidate will be intellectually curious, highly organized, and motivated to learn. They will enjoy analyzing complex information, understanding how policy changes affect stakeholders and business operations, and contributing to recommendations that improve program outcomes.

Location

This is a hybrid position located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Regular in-office attendance and occasional in-person client meetings are required. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the DC metro area prior to their start date. Relocation assistance is not available.

What You'll be Doing

  • Support analysis of federal healthcare policies, regulations, guidance, and operational requirements.
  • Conduct research and gather information to support policy implementation and operational improvement activities.
  • Assist in evaluating how policy and operational changes may affect stakeholders, business processes, and program outcomes.
  • Translate complex policy and operational concepts into clear documentation, guidance materials, and business process documentation.
  • Support testing and quality assurance activities for program systems and operational processes.
  • Assist with stakeholder meetings, project coordination activities, and documentation of action items.
  • Draft reports, briefing materials, presentations, and other project deliverables.
  • Support process improvement efforts and contribute ideas that enhance program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify issues, gather information, and support implementation activities.

  • Have 0-1 years of professional experience in public health, policy, research, operations, consulting, business analysis, or related fields.
  • Are self-starters who are eager to learn and take initiative.
  • Enjoy analyzing information and identifying patterns, impacts, and solutions.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Are detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Have experience through internships, academic projects, fellowships, volunteer work, or employment.
  • Thrive in collaborative environments while also working independently when needed.

Other Important Information

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in public health, public policy, health administration, economics, business, political science, or a related field.
  • Applicants should have the ability to obtain a US government security clearance, if needed. Applicants must have lived in the U.S. at least three (3) of the last five (5) years to obtain the required clearance.
