Job Summary

This position is advertised from the minimum to the mid-point hourly rate. Salary will be determined based on education and experience at the time of offer.

NATURE OF WORK

Under close supervision, performs administrative, office and/or clerical work of moderate difficulty. This position has department specific responsibility.

Nature of Work

(Illustrative Only) Receives, sorts, indexes, files, retrieves, forms, correspondence, and documents; enters data into computer; prepares, formats, and types correspondence, reports, and other documents from written drafts or transcription; may take abbreviated meeting notes as needed; performs a variety of general office support duties (i.e., makes copies, prints, collates, scan documents, maintains calendar of activities, schedules meetings; processes mail including receiving, sorting, time stamping, logging, and distributing incoming and outgoing correspondence and packages; compiles reports and summaries of work; maintains and processes departmental records within the electronic document management system (EDMS);provides front counter assistance to the public and directs inquiries to appropriate staff; process and records various financial transactions; receives, verifies, and accounts for monies, checks, and other negotiable transactions; issues official receipts, and ensures accuracy of payments for departmental fees and services; maintains and balances a daily cash drawer; reconciles total daily transactions against system reports; receives, and responds to correspondence and operates a variety of office machines; answers incoming calls; determines and undertakes routing to proper party; records and delivers messages; prepares and processes confidential and sensitive documents; regular and reliable attendance is required; performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND two years of clerical work experience. Special Requirements: Requires successful completion of a background check.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of County policies and procedures; of business English, spelling, and arithmetic; of office computer hardware and software applications.

Skill in effectively dealing with public inquiries; making arithmetic computations with speed and accuracy; maintaining records and preparing reports; the operation of various office machines/equipment; following written and verbal instructions.

Ability to read, to write and synthesize data and reports; use modern office equipment and computers; communicate effectively verbally and written; to lift at least 5 to 10 lbs.; establish and maintain effective working relationship with co-workers; perform the essential functions of the job specifications with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Medical Coverage Category

The YCEBT is a self-funded medical plan administered by BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona (BCBSAZ). The employee is able to select from two (2) medical plan options with six (6) tiers that will best suit the employees needs, dependents or families.

Plan Option 1: Preferred Provider Option A (PPO) or PPO A 1100 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing a preventative visit.

Plan Option 2: High Deductible High Plan - Health Savings Account (HDHP-HSA) with a 1700 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing a preventative visit.

Employer contributes a total of $800.04 to employees Health Savings Account. If employees select Employee only and participate in the "Wellness Incentive" employees can receive up to 360.00 contribution to a Limited Purpose FSA card to be used for medical or dental purposes.

International Medical Solutions (IMS): IMS is available to employees who are enrolled in YCEBT Medical PPO Plan A and HDHP. Members enrolled in the PPO plan can pay as little as $5 copay for doctor visits & prescription drug services, with no maximum cap. High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) pay toward their deductible until is met. After the deductible is satisfied, the plan will pay 80% of the services covered, and the member will be responsible for the remaining 20% coinsurance.
