This is an onsite position in Orient, OH.
Position Summary
The Health Information Technician is responsible for maintaining accurate and organized patient health records within a medical setting. This role supports the management of electronic and paper records, ensures documentation completeness, and assists with administrative functions to maintain efficient health information operations.
Qualifications
- Recent administrative experience in a medical office setting (front office or similar required; clinical experience alone is not sufficient)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred; training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices preferred
- Ability to manage records accurately and identify missing or incomplete information
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 9 months of experience or coursework in records management
- Minimum of 3 months of experience or coursework in medical terminology
- Minimum of 3 months of typing experience or related coursework
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
