Description of Work
The Julian F. Keith Alcohol & Drug Abuse Treatment Center (JFK ADATC) is
currently accepting applications for a Health Care Technician I/Admissions.
Responsibilities for the Health Care Technician I/Admissions position include but are not limited to:
in the Admission Process, orient the patients to the unit, meal and medication
times, their rights, and their responsibilities.
Intervention (CPI) approved de-escalation techniques, to ensure the safety of
patients and staff by completing required CPI training.
an RN and maintain equipment supplies and forms. He/she will assist the
Medical Staff by sitting in on exams as needed. Maintain dietary supplies for the unit.

Salary Range: $31,200.00 - $46,348.00

This posting is for a 12-hour day shift (6:45 am - 7:15 pm), every other weekend and some holidays and overtime; flexibility required.

To qualify for the Sign-On Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a pro-rated rate.

ABOUT THE FACILITY:
JFK ADATC is a 68-bed inpatient treatment facility designed to meet the needs of adults with substance use disorders from the 44 western most counties in North Carolina. The facility treats individuals with substance abuse and psychiatric diagnoses. JFK is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations as a Behavioral Health facility and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as an inpatient psychiatric hospital.

High school or General Educational Development diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Condition for Continued Employment
As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
