    About the Role

    We are seeking a high-performing Health & Benefits Sales Executive to join a leading global risk, strategy, and benefits consulting firm in Washington, DC.

    This hybrid role focuses on driving new business acquisition (hunting) and expanding key accounts within the mid-market segment (1,000–5,000 employee lives). You will consult directly with C-suite executives to deliver innovative strategies across healthcare, financial security, and employee benefits programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive New Business: Prospect, cold-call, and self-generate leads to engage target C-suite decision-makers across the mid-market employer landscape.
    • Full-Cycle Sales Management: Lead complex sales processes from initial prospect identification through RFP development, pricing negotiations, and deal closure.
    • Consultative Value Selling: Craft custom proposals and presentations communicating the business value of strategic health and benefits consulting services.
    • Account Expansion & Relationship Management: Maintain a high-yield book of business, ensuring client satisfaction and leveraging cross-selling opportunities.
    • Market Intelligence & Networking: Attend regional conferences, trade shows, and industry organizations to maintain a robust professional pipeline and monitor market trends.

    Must-Have Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) is required.
    • Experience: 5+ years of direct, quota-carrying sales experience within the Employee Benefits / Health & Benefits consulting industry.
    • Target Market Focus: Proven track record selling consulting solutions to companies in the 1,000 to 5,000 employee lives space.
    • Executive Access: Demonstrated ability to gain access to, build trust with, and close C-suite executives (CFOs,CHROs, VPs of HR).
    • Hunting Capabilities: Strong self-sourcing, prospecting, and pipeline-building skills.
