Job Description:
- Demonstrates through behavior the organization's Service Standards of Know Me, Love Me, Make it Easy, and Keep Me Safe.
- Drives customer service initiatives by creating and owning the patient experience. Reviews appointment bookings in advance and ensures patients receive appointment reminders.
- Verifies and validates insurance prior to appointment date.
- Completes check-in process, securing copays and balance amounts.
- Maintains timely flow of patients and keeps patients up to date on any delays. Responds to and returns incoming telephone calls in a timely manner.
- Performs vitals and documents allergies, screenings, and vital signs after competency validation.
- Assists with scheduling and prior authorization of referrals and orders. Participates in disinfection of common areas and readies exam rooms for patients by following disinfection guidelines.
- Assists in cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilization of instruments according to policy.
- Performs routine maintenance on equipment and completes quality controls on waived tests after competency checks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent Customer Service Skills [Required]
- Demonstrated ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements [Required]
- Ability to operate a computer, copier, fax, and scanner [Required]
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and others of diverse backgrounds [Required]
- Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast pace, high patient volume environment [Required]
- Strong critical thinking skills [Preferred]
- Participation in Fire Fighter/Medic OR EMT Program [Preferred]
- Phlebotomy Program [Preferred]
Education:
High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS [Required]
- Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT [Preferred]
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA [Preferred]
