Job Description

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programmes, policies, and procedures. Lead compliance efforts related to workplace safety, environmental regulations, hazardous materials, and waste management. Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations while driving corrective and preventive actions. Oversee emergency preparedness programmes, response planning, and safety training initiatives. Manage OSHA recordkeeping, compliance reporting, and regulatory communications. Develop and track EHS performance metrics, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide leadership and coaching to managers and employees on safety best practices and regulatory requirements. Partner with cross-functional teams to support food safety, operational excellence, and environmental sustainability goals. Lead safety committee activities and promote employee engagement in workplace safety initiatives. Serve as the primary point of contact during regulatory inspections and compliance audits.

The Successful Applicant

A successful EHS Manager should have: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of EHS leadership experience within manufacturing, with food manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and industrial safety best practices. Experience leading incident investigations, root cause analysis, audits, inspections, and corrective action programmes. Demonstrated success improving safety culture and driving behavioural safety initiatives. Experience developing and delivering employee training programmes. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organisation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting systems. Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CIH, or equivalent are preferred. Bilingual communication skills are considered an asset.

Competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $140,000 USD. Comprehensive benefits package.
