Aquila's Health and Fitness Specialist (as needed) assists members in safe and effective exercise and performs a wide range of technical exercise and administrative duties in health/fitness center. This position on a part-time, as-needed basis to provide coverage at our corporate fitness center. The pay rate is $22/hour. We want all of our people to be healthy, happy and grow with us. As a Health and Fitness Specialist, your responsibilities include: - Supervise exercise areas
- Educate members concerning safe exercise techniques
- Perform exercise assessments and prescribe exercise upon American College of Sports Medicine guidelines
- Conduct safe and effective assessments including cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and body composition analysis; evaluate and interpret data and identify high risk participants and special populations
- Aid members - spotting and equipment usage
- Explain all equipment
- Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness and safety of all equipment
- Adhere to departmental and club policies and procedures
- Adhere to client’s policies and procedures
- Attend staff meetings
- Assist in wellness and fitness promotions and external events
- Perform daily administrative duties
