Description
The Senior Analyst - Account Manager, as a team member, assists in providing healthcare and group benefits solutions encompassing plan design, vendor evaluation and management, data analytics, legal compliance and employee meetings. Provides assistance with the benefits program selection and funding mechanisms to include employer versus employee contributions.
The Role
Manage the annual lifecycle of employee benefits
Be a day-to-day client contact
Work with team members to meet client needs, including:
Development and/or analysis of benefits strategy
Delivery of reporting that is used to assess benefit utilization and performance
Answer client questions
Work with vendors to solve employer and employee benefits issues
Schedule, prepare for and attend client meetings, as needed
Set up and participate in employee meetings (open enrollment, benefits fairs, etc.)
Assist team members and management with developing proposals and responding to RFPs
Assist other team members as needed
Ensure internal compliance process if being followed and documented as necessary
Qualifications
1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in employee benefits
Bachelor's degree in business, or relevant experience
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Understanding of web-based client relationship systems (Salesforce), with experience in problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting when issues arise
Exceptional client relationship skills; ability to develop strong relationships quickly and maximize resources effectively to achieve goals
Ability to effectively engage with carriers and clients to maintain renewal terms and existing business.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving abilities, including critical thinking and adaptability
Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to work in a performance-driven environment managing multiple deliverables
Ability and willingness to travel to clients within Wyoming for periodic meetings
Must successfully complete appropriate licensing exam(s) and/or maintain required licensing by completing various Continuing Education activities as needed. If already licensed, must be able to show valid confirmation of current licensing status
